About Us

Discovering Inspiration at Every Turn

The Neema-Sozo Foundation is a non-profit organization that fundamentally believes the most valuable investment we can make is in alleviating suffering, thereby enhancing self-esteem, self-assurance and the future of those who are most at risk.

Inspiration acts as a catalyst for creativity, sparking new ideas and pushing boundaries. When we encounter something that inspires us, it can lead to innovative solutions and artistic expressions. This connection between inspiration and creativity allows us to see the world from different perspectives and continuously evolve our work.

Our Story

A truly unique story, ours didn't happen overnight; it was a culmination of collective journeys, that led us

down this path of life and in 2022, Neema-Sozo was born. Two individuals with two very different

lives, thousands of miles apart and two different continents who came together around one common

purpose: to rescue homeless orphans, provide education assistance, administer disaster relief and

community revitalization projects for the people of Kenya.

Observing a great need in the Kibera slum area, Neema-Sozo began concentrating its outreach efforts to assist homeless orphans.   Utawala Nyumba ya Watoto Children's Home, The Hesed House & Mapacha Wapenzi Home in Embakasi East, Kenya were established to provide housing, medical, schooling, and individualized care with a family-style approach in a community setting.   Located in Nairobi, Utawala Nyumba ya Watoto was the first children’s home opened in 2023, serving 6  children ages 5 to 12 whose parents were deceased or unknown. The Mapacha Wapenzi mission supports college students with tuition, housing, and disaster relief.  In 2024, we expanded our outreach by adopting an additional 11 children, bringing our total to 19 youth that are in our care. The Hesed House is a four-acre homestead with a newly built social home for refugees and is the future site of Hesed Community Sustainable Farms.
